Alexandra Marsanu
Chairman's Welcome
Updated: Jun 13, 2019
CYW's new Chairman, Ella Robertson, sets out what's in store for the year ahead.
I'm delighted to be taking on the role of Chairman of CYW, following in the footsteps of Seena Shah who is now taking on the role of President. I'm so passionate about the role that young women have to play within the Conservative Party and hope to meet lots of you in the year ahead.

We are beginning by publishing an exciting calendar of events with plenty of opportunities for members.
I'm so passionate about the role that young women have to play within the Conservative Party.
Building on the successful roundtable series from last year, we will be expanding CYW's policy portfolio and working to ensure that young women's voices are at the forefront when it comes to developing new policy.
Preparing Young Women for Public Life
One of our key objectives is to enable more women to run for and win elections. To that end we will be building on our development program and offering more workshops as well as mentoring and networking sessions. Whilst most of our members are passionate about politics, not everyone is ready to stand and so we will also be running a range of professional skills workshops with general application in furthering women's careers.
Most importantly, we want to grow CYW into a thriving network which is a source of friendship and fun for all involved.
