About the Event

Speakers

Siobhan Baillie is the Member of Parliament for Stroud. Professionally, she qualified as a family law solicitor and later worked in the charity sector. Prior to her election, she was a councillor in the London Borough of Camden. She first stood for Parliament in 2017 in Bermondsey and Old Southwark. She entered Parliament in 2019, having been selected to stand from Stroud. 

Alys Denby is the Editor of CapX, which was founded by the Centre for Policy Studies. She has appeared on BBC Politics Live, LBC, Talk TV and GB News. She has also written for The Telegraph, The I, The Big Issue, The New Statesman and The Critic.

Chloe Schendel-Wilson is the Co-Founder and Director of The Disability Policy Centre, which is focused on improving the lives of disabled people in the UK. Before this, Chloe was the Head of Outreach for the Conservative Party where she was responsible for the party's engagement with underrepresented communities. She was the Deputy Chairman Political of Epsom and Ewell Conservative Association and has worked in Parliament. 

Alice Hopkin is the Special Adviser to the Home Secretary, Rt Hon James Cleverly MP. She had previously worked as a Special Adviser at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the Department of Health and Social Care. Alice had worked in Parliament as Head of Office for Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP and as a researcher for Gagan Mohindra MP and Rt Hon James Cleverly MP.
